RST Moto

A globally recognised brand and leading manufacturer of premium motorcycle gear aimed to transition from B2B to B2C. I led the UX Design for a new eCommerce site that would support their transition, prioritising an immersive and inclusive experience for motorcyclists of all kinds.

Discovery

The project kicked off with workshops to understand the new website's audience. Placing customers at the forefront ensured everyone knew who they were, what they needed, and their motivations. This approach energised and aligned people, helping them visualise how the new website would need to operate to better serve customers and meet business objectives.

Information Architecture

Sitemaps were built for the current website to compare with the newly designed architecture. This provided an early understanding of the website's structure, size, content hierarchy, and data/API needs.

Wireframing & Prototyping

Using the sitemap, wireframes of each website page were built to connect the site's information architecture to its visual design. This showcased the content, hierarchy, functionality, and demonstrated core user journeys.

Usability tests were conducted on the prototypes to ensure they aligned with the design goals and to uncover any design opportunities before UI design.

UI & Interaction Design

High-fidelity designs were produced in close collaboration with the client’s Brand team to ensure brand guidelines were followed. Interaction design, combined with high-quality imagery and video, was key to creating an immersive user experience.
